Hand painted means hand painted. It took some special lighting to get this shot, magnifying the slight brush texture that may be somewhat evident on your sign background. Our topcoats are glossy and they are brushed on by hand.
You might as well celebrate it as intrinsic to the hand-made nature of your sign, because it is a part of the process we cannot change without using a spray gun.

This is not a flaw or a defect. In practical use, when the sign is installed, you are never going to see it. We only mention it in the interest of full disclosure, to allay any misunderstandings later. As you look around at the other photographs on this site of actual signs, naturally lit, like they would be when installed, you will see no such texture.
